Janine Guido was a kind soul, someone who did good without asking for anything in return. She worked at Speranza Animal Rescue, taking care of animals who needed love. There are so many cats and dogs who come to the shelter, but not all of them find a home. Some don’t make it, and that breaks Janine’s heart because she cares for each one.
One day, Janine found a dog named Watson. He was in bad shape, left alone in a pit at the park. His body was full of wounds, and a big tumor grew on his leg. Through the night, Watson lay in her arms. He slowly drifted off to sleep, and in the morning, he passed away. It was peaceful, and Janine was there, holding him.
