At first, it seemed like just another day at the Horsetooth Inn and RV Park in Fort Collins, Colorado. But for Lori Jones, who was working her usual shift at the gift shop, an unexpected visitor made the day unforgettable.

A young deer casually wandered in, as if on a mission. She strolled through the aisles, glancing over the snack shelves and even checking out the sunglasses display. It was as if she was browsing for the perfect gift! Lori couldn’t help but laugh at the sight of the doe acting like any other customer.

Wanting to guide her new visitor back outside, Lori grabbed a tasty treat and led the deer out the door. She figured that was the end of the surprise visit—but she was wrong.
About half an hour later, the deer returned… and this time, she wasn’t alone! Standing right outside the doorway was her entire family, patiently waiting, as if asking, “Can we come in too?”

Lori had to draw the line. “No way!” she told them, laughing at the absurdity of it all.
Though Colorado is home to plenty of wildlife—including deer, raccoons, bighorn sheep, and even mountain lions—having a deer casually walk into a shop (and later bring her whole family) is not something you see every day!
Before Lori finally convinced them to move along, she managed to snap some incredible close-up shots of her unusual customers.
Just another day in Colorado—where even wildlife loves a little window shopping!
